ASA has added Paul Morrow, a tax advisory manager at Dixon Hughes Goodman, LLP, Memphis, Tenn., as an education workshop presenter at SUBExcel 2019. Morrow will present the contractor and executive director education workshop, “Navigating the Modern Tax Landscape,” sponsored by EDs Sponsor GrowthZone, from 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9. In the workshop, Morrow will discuss how companies can navigate the quickly changing federal and state tax landscape including sales and use, income and franchise, and gross receipts taxes. Items covered will include where and when you may need to file, tax “landmines,” useful tax planning techniques, and potential federal and state tax incentives. This will also include possible tax implications impacting chapters and other not for profit organizations. Morrow has five years of experience in public accounting. His focus includes state and federal tax consulting, tax credits and incentives, and transaction advisory work. He has worked with various entity types on issues including strategic planning, tax planning, compliance, and transaction advisory services. He has assisted taxpayers ranging in size from small, closely-held family businesses to multinational, Fortune 50 companies.
