At ASA-HC, safety is our primary focus. We pride ourselves on providing the knowledge and tools our members need to create a safer construction industry. Our Safety Committee is charged with bringing awareness to subcontractors and the construction companies they work with, and serving as a resource for individuals who promote safety in the workplace.
In conjunction with OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down Week May 6-10, 2019, ASA-HC encourages all members to plan, or participate in, a safety stand-down during the week. A Safety Stand-Down is a voluntary event for employers to talk directly to employees about “Fall Hazards” and to reinforce the importance of “Fall Prevention.” The purpose of OSHA’s National Fall Prevention Stand-Down is to raise awareness of preventing fall hazards in construction.
