Advocacy Education
ASA-Houston Chapter takes pride in serving our members through a wide range of means. Among those: education. Advocacy discussions and events offer members a firsthand look at the legislative process, and allow them to make their voices heard.
TCA Walk on the Capitol
Every two years individuals from ASA-HC join the other Texas Construction Association (TCA) members from around the state for a Walk on the Capitol in Austin, Texas. The event includes educational sessions, a reception with legislators and visits to the Capitol offices of Texas legislators.
Who Represents You in the Texas Legislature?
One of the first steps to advocacy education is knowing who represents you in the Texas House of Representatives and the Texas Senate.
Who Represents Me?
Yearly Legislative Panel Discussion
Each year ASA-HC presents a panel discussion at a fall general lunch meeting featuring Texas legislators and representatives from TCA. In legislative session years, the panel discusses the outcome of the session. In non-session years, the panel discusses what the upcoming session will focus on. Check the Calendar of Events for this year’s event.
