GC/Sub Speed-Dating

What is Speed-Dating?
Speed-Dating brings together two individuals from 18 general contracting and two individuals from 18 subcontracting firms (ASA-HC members only) for a timed, round-robin style networking opportunity.


How does Speed-Dating work?
There will be 18 tables in the Speed-Dating room. Each general contracting firm will have two representatives seated at its table. The individuals from the subcontracting firms will have five minutes at each table to meet the GC, exchange business cards and discuss upcoming business opportunities. A timer will sound at the five minute mark at which point the subcontractors will have one minute to move to the next GC table. A timer will sound to start the next five minute session.


What makes this event different from all the other networking events?
Limiting the number of participants guarantees that all subcontractors are able to meet and talk with every general contractor represented at the event… and have their undivided attention!


What types of material can I bring to the event?
Business cards and/or a tri-fold brochure are the only materials that will be allowed. Please do not bring large folders or binders with you.

5:30 p.m. Registration/networking/beverages and heavy hors d'oeuvres served
6:00 p.m. First Round of Speed-Dating begins
7:10 p.m. 10 minute break / beverages served
7:20 p.m. Second Round of Speed-Dating begins
8:15 p.m. Second session over/networking/beverages served
8:30 p.m. Evening ends
