Saturday, June 2 is the annual Sandcastle Competition put on by the American Institute of Architects on East Beach in Galveston, Texas. More than 20,000 individuals visit the beach to see the sculptures created by teams of architectural/general contractor firms.

As an event sponsor, ASA-HC will have a tent set up during the competition. As a member of ASA you are invited to come to the beach and attend ASA-HC’s Member Appreciation Fiesta on the Beach. The ASA-HC tent will feature fajitas, margaritas, beer, and a shady spot for you and your family to relax during the competition. The sandcastle event is open to the public and is free except for a $10 per car parking fee. PLEASE NOTE: Wristbands are required for entry into the ASA-HC tent and can only be requested by ASA-HC members. Per TABC regulations, sponsorship of the ASA-HC Fiesta on the Beach is not tied to wristband distribution.

ASA-HC offers the opportunity to put your company name in front of the individuals participating in the Fiesta.


AGAIN THIS YEAR AT THE FIESTA! Kids’ Sandcastle Competition (open to all kids attending the Fiesta) and a Fiesta Happy Hour. Each sandcastle building team will be given five special wristbands to attend a (after the building stops and prior to winners being announced). Individuals attending the Fiesta on the Beach will have this exclusive opportunity to network with individuals from architectural and general contracting firms participating in the sandcastle event!

    Kids’ Sandcastle Competition 1:00 P.M.
    Fiesta Happy Hour 3:00—5:00 P.M.
